You can register and also make a hotel reservation by emailing or faxing the attached registration form to Mrs. Simone Blümer at DARC. In case you require a visa for your travel to Germany we would like to remind you to apply for it as soon as possible as the visa screening and issuing process can take quite some time. On Friday 24th June at 19:00 DARC is inviting you to an International Reception at the Seehotel. We would be very pleased to welcome you at both events. Since the last version of the band plan, the international weak signal segment including EME has become 3400-3401 MHz (1). The Wellington VHF Group beacon on 3400.275 MHz has been approved & licensed into this segment. The satellite allocation has changed to 3404-3408 MHz (SAT). This is the best projection as this time. There has never been satellite activity in this band. This will be non exclusive until when & if there is satellite use (AW+SAT). Since the council meeting, Australia has lost spectrum above 3400 MHz in metropolitan areas. 3398-3400 MHz will also be weak signal & narrow band modes (1) to harmonise with weak signal tropo & EME to Australia. The exclusive repeater segments have been removed as there has never been usage & this allows for greater flexibility with 3300-3498 MHz. This all becomes all modes including wideband (AW). Current modes such as mesh networks require very large bandwidth & it is desirable to have large continuous blocks that can be used. This not does not preclude (1) Weak signal & narrow band modes up to 25 kHz bandwidth. (AW) All modes including wideband. (SAT) Satellite, non exclusive. ZL2ASF & ZL2TWS on behalf of the 9 cm band plan group.
