If you understand the material, the specifics of the question pool are
immaterial.

You'll probably pass, but you would get some of the band and privilege
edges questions wrong if you read the old pool questions and took the
new test. Even from the new pools. That's why they took them out
temporarily.

A long time ago, when taking a test for my first technician job, there
was a question that read:

Q. What is the melting temperature of solder?

There were 4 different answers, all within the range of the various
solders Ag/Pb percentages that I was used to. 60/40, 50/50, etc.

Coming from a school where the teachers would throw in a trick question
every so often, I circled all 4 answers, and put in a note that all
were acceptable melting points, depending on the alloy.

The head Technician called me in with the test results. I aced it
except for one question. He explained that 370 F was the correct answer.
I explained that that was true for 60/40 solder, but not for other
combinations.

He pulled out the test grading sheet, and said "According to this,
you're wrong."

Wanting the job, I said "Well, I guess I am wrong!"

Da boss is always right....
