What a nice coincidence. Sergeant First Class Donald A. Ross
was the Maintenance NCOIC at Army Radio station ADA in the
mid- to late fifties. ADA was exclusively on HF using 43
transmitters. I have a nice digitized Signal Corps photograph of
SFC Ross adjusting a 4 KW PEP Western Electric transmitter.
Don was an amateur radio licensee, held both Radiotelephone and
Radiotelegarph First Class Commercial licenses. He would be
in his early 80s by now if still with us.
