...and because it doesn't matter what anything Heil says about me
in here. I'm going to continue posting as *I* see fit and Heil is just
so much QRM to work through...until the morse code test is
eliminated. Of course, by that time, I might change my mind and
NOT leave.

And as long as what you "see fit" to publish is so flagrantly
abusive and obviously in error, we will take great pleasure in rubbing
your nose (and that of your favorite marionette) in your foolishness.

Fair enough...?!?!

Gotta admit too Dan, and give Len credit here, he makes a very good point.

He's just repeating what ARRL and many of us have been saying for about a year
now - get the facts and comment to FCC in the appropriate places.

He's setting the stage for making rant fodder out of anybody around
here who doesn't submit a set of commnents to the FCC.

Citizen Band was created when they started issueing licenses without a CW
requirement.

From someone who entered via no-code and advanced to extra within a year
I take issue with that.

He's just a troll, Tony.

Perhaps the no-code license was the best thing that happened to amateur
radio. It removed an obstacle I wasn't ready to face at the time but
after a couple months I got my 5WPM code. And then a couple months later
my 13WPM and then the 20WMP.

Was it really that hard to learn?

What ticks me off is the watered down code requirement that we have now.

It's the logical result. Gradually reduce the requirements.

But in essence, we're all appliance operators now anyhow.

Not me!

It doesn't really matter.

I think it does.

And I think the days of amateur radio are numbered what
with BPL and such.

I hope not. But even if deployed, BPL may not survive for other
reasons. Ever hear of the Iridium system?

Better idea: Paint HIS house lavender and put the flamingoes in

Vandalism? An effigy of racism? You're acting out of control again.

Uh huh...

But you guys go ahead with your stomp-fest. It is well deserved. I
mean Lean was waaay off with his date for CB creation. He deserves
what he gets.

I guess you meant "Len", Brain...but another typo, per the
LennieRant of "typo = rage" must mean we're getting under you skin!
Too bad!

Nope, no anger or rage. Len has been working out and now I call him
"Lean."

But I do detect yet another typo in your reply.

Yeah...he does...Offers himself up as a "professional", scolds
EVERYONE for allegedly not knowing about anything not directly Part 97
related, then makes stupid, easily caught errors.

He would praise you for knowing sumptin about about Part 97. Best of
Luck.

Kinda like you, Brain, without the assertion of "professional".

Steve, K4YZ

I can read and understand Part 97, Morse vs Farnsworth,
repeater owners charging $$$ for use of a repeater.

And another typo on your part.

Damn you, Lean. You sold out!!!

You've become just another mouthpiece for the ARRL!

I'm gonna have to call you "The Non-Amateur Formerly Known Not As
Mouth-Piece for the ARRL," or TNAFKNAMPARRL for short.

Thanks for the tip, TAFKARJ.

Looks like Kellie has already set the stage for his excuses in
not filing a damn thing and will then tawk tuff about nasty
gubmint afterwards.

Kellie tawks tuff all over the place in here. He can't do it to
the FCC? :-)

Ah, but I put the ARRL definitely in one cheek...

Why not? All the pro-coders call me something... :-)

Thanks for the tip, TAFKARJ.

Jimmie has tips on everything. He knows what is, what isn't, who is
right, who is wrong, even what the FCC thinks. Information
technology or IT. He's full of IT. :-)

Yours sincerely,

He knows it exists. That's a plus. Beyond that, his score isn't
the highest grade on the report card.

Nothing new. Gunnery nurse is mad has heck and hasn't been
