Take a camera with you on your Bicycle trip and post some photos when
you get back.Watch out for Scorpions and Snakes out there in those
Desert areas.

will do

are the scorpions and snake a real problem? especially
when sleeping on ground at night?

If yes...any ideas on how to manage that problem?

I'm taking a hammock tent so will hang it up if I can
find tow supports.... but will just lay it on ground
when no supports

Not much you can do about them, except try and stay away from them.It
gets cold in desert areas at night and snakes like to find a warm place
to get into.Take a snake bite kit with you. Now,if you was traveling by
horseback, you wouldn't have to worry too much about snakes. You will
probally see some Route 66 reproduction signs for sale in those tourist
traps and stores. One of those signs would look good mounted on a wall in
your home.
