Oh great - the HD Radio Alliance can track what is listened to - need
to get this one to the press ASAP !

Sounds like a paranoid fantasy. How is the information going to get
back home? Via the power lines if the HD radio is plugged in? Via the
FCC part 15 "transmitter" associated with all powered receivers? That
seems impractical

The Brits used to send around vans to detect TV receivers in the
possession of people without a TV receiving license.

Read the links - really doesn't matter if true, once word gets around,
and I'll help make sure, consumers will stay away from HD Radio even
more.

Of course, this whole concept being a lie, you realize you set yourself
up
for significant legal action for propagating it?

Better call your *daughter*, Edweenie!

The real issue is why, knowing it is not true, you would knowingly spread
a
lie. Says a lot about you.

Crap, you've certainly spread your share of lies, Mr. Pathological.

Ah, it's Saturday morning. Did you go on a bender last night, and can't get
to sleep? We are fairly used to your weekend profanity, vulgarity and racial
epithets now... must be a blue light special at your local liquor store.

When you get up in the morning, just how long does it take for you to pull your
head out of your ass, Edweenie?

Yeah, right. An HD radio has no transmit capabilities, and you know it.

How do you know - it doesn't really matter, because word is spreading,
and I'll make sure it does !

Go for it Eduardo - yea, a blogger that is just providing links to
other peoples' works ! Since you are threatening me, you are also
setting yourself up for significant legal action, and I know who you
are. Since you are making such a big deal about it, it must be true.

They still do.

Not anymore. As the system is completely computerised and based on
the fact that some 99 per cent of homes have a TV it is really a
simple a matter of checking up on those that the computer says do
not have a licence. This is done by post and if you do not have a TV
then you are required to declare so on a form. If you fail to do
that then there will eventually be a knock on the door. This will
happen every year - I know because there was a period of some 10
years when I did not have a TV and had to go through this hoop each
year.

Now I have a TV and pay for my licence by direct debit and they
leave me alone.

If you do see a 'detector' van then it is probably Ofcom looking
into an RFI problem. Not that they do much of that these days.

Charlie.

What does that possibly have to do with *you* calling *your daughter* the

Since she is an attorney, I don't see the issue.

So you are already in your cups, aren't you? Is DX better when you imagine
it after a few belts?

Since I have no interests in iBiquity, I could not sue you. I am not an
interested or affected party. I was just mentioneing that the absurdity of
your lies and misinformation certainly makes you look like a nice candidate
for action....
