Just heard WYFR on Skelton and was shocked - nice audio for sampling for dance music, though - sounds like the same chap the Orb sampled for Adventures beyond the Ultraworld (1700-1800 on 3955). Skelton Transmitting Station (BBC) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skelton_transmitter VT {Merlin} Communications http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VT_Communications Skelton Map http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=54.73...0.025,0.025&q=... . Thanks RHF. Still think it's nuts that the former BBC WS transmitter is for rent at "the lowest price". The Wikipedia artice says it's the succesor to Rugby - however as I believe at least MSF is now sent from Anthorn (or is that the same thing?). From frequent London-Bham travel I see the Rugby antennas are still up (at least they were a year or two ago) - are any buyers popping up or will this historic site end up as copper scrap? I bet a few LF amateurs would *love* to hook up to that antenna for a bit of DX!
