The signal strength meter and speaker grill are reminiscent of the Sony ICF-6700W/6800W. The Grundig/Eton/Tecsun folks are clearly trying to appeal to our sense of nostalgia. Now, they just need to load the unit with vintage recordings of old Cold War-era propaganda broadcasts, ready for playback on demand...
