7335 CHU (great) - Canadian tick tock

As some of you may know, CHU will be shifting from 7335 to 7850 on January 1,
2009 at 0000 GMT.

Might be interesting to check 7850 prior to that to see if they are testing at
all.

OK but weak here at noon thirty UTC but earlier in the evening a couple
nights ago there was some broadcast station right on top of them, even
going to the USB and reducing bandwidth down to around 2kc, they were
still getting clobbered. Only when I cut the bandwidth to about 1kc

Yes, the band has been re-allocated for broadcasting, therefore the reason CHU is
moving come January 1 to 7850.

The Voice of Russia was one of the culprits transmitting right on top
of 7335. Now why the Russians had to do that,

I don't know. According to primetimeshortwave.com, The Russians,
Chinese, and WHRI are all using 7335, none of them targeting North
America but still interfering with the signal.

Haven't heard anything on 7850

I have personally heard chinese and WHRI on 7335 but not the russians.
