A TV is a matter of survival here in the tinder dry fire-prone SoCal foothills. It can get pretty hairy sometimes. Same here. I use mine to trap muskrat and beaver. Sometimes their fur leaves lots of strands in the trim and controls, giving the enclosure a well follicled look. I don't care for the so called contrived reality hoaxes nor anything with a laugh track, nor hollywood gossip. Used to watch MMA/UFC stuff but it's all been pulled around here, have to go out in the street to see that action these days. Oh and I almost forgot - Watching the RedWings take the 'cup' again. -- Operator Bob Echo Charlie 42 The MMA/UFC has been pulled from your area? That about freeking sucks IMO. Tonight on Versus is the Mike Brown/Uriah Fabre rematch. I'm really looking forward to seeing that fight, IMO I see Brown beating Uriah again. That Brown is just so strong for that division. Should be a great fight either way.:-) |

Most of American tv is so boring, and the old, old movies I like to
watch on DirecTV, I have seen them a million times already. I keep thinking someday I will buy a Lyngsat www.lyngsat.com or a Pansat (I don't know their website.Where you at Lee Richardson? in Evansville,Indiana) satellite rig so I can watch a lot of International/Worldwide tv programs, for free. I wouldn't understand all of those languages, but I guess I would understand the gist of that stuff. cuhulin |

I know I'm missing some good stuff. I watch TV programs at my brothers place sometimes such as the History channel and Nova but that caliber of program is maybe 5% of all programming. Speaking for myself it is just to easy to plop down on the couch and start watching something good for a while then spend more time watching what turns out to be crap so it is a negative use of time over all. -- Telamon Ventura, California |

There's nothing wrong with watching "some" television but I don't let it dictate what I do. My reading time is the most important time for me. That is when everything, including the radios go off, I would do without tv if it came down between the two....and it's not even close. |
