See, there you go with the assumptions again, Pete. How are we ever
going to get along in this atmosphere of distrust and suspicion? It's
simply not healthy for either us or our relationship.

All that I want is for things to be like they used to be between us -
holding hands and watching the sunset from the beach, or laughing as we
stroll arm-in-arm through the Arboretum in the springtime. The old
magic, Pete, is what I want back. Perhaps I'm just a foolish, dreaming
romantic for thinking this, but... Can't we just *try*?

P.S.: None of the above should be construed to mean that I will cease
groping you when we ride the bus together.

And I want my Gary Puckett albums back.

There was a member of this newsgroup, now passed on, who preferred Win

the world disowned Win 98 a decade ago was of no consequence. As for his
technical expertise...He could hold his own in UNIX, OpenBSD, Windows
(through 7), Mac and Linux. And was a developer for a number of them.

He just happened to prefer Win 98. I have no idea why. Nor is it relevant.

Macs are a fashion statement. Some people shouldn't be allowed near
computers.

A Sarajevo brothel? Did you have to climb a ladder to get to the second
floor like I did at the Bungalow Hotel in Vinh Long,Vietnam in 1964?

Soon as I was going back down that ladder, an Officer in our Company
(114th Aviation Company) was standing down there, waiting for his turn
to climb that ladder.

Fine. If that's how it's going to be, I will. But I warn you, Pete, my
attorney appears on both TV *and* the back of busses. This tells me
that he knows how to cover all the bases, and will savage your attorney
like a baby in a pit-bull's jaws. Perhaps he will even be responsible
for legislation regulating breeding and ownership of his type of lawyer
when all of this is said and done, though that may ultimately lead to a
race of super-solicitors bent on world domination through creative
billing practices. HE'S JUST THAT GOOD.

And I want my Gary Puckett albums back.

Are MP3s OK? The cat peed on the vinyl, and now I don't want to touch
it. Fortunately, I had copied the albums before he relieved himself on
them, and some of the covers are still dry. I could scan them and embed
them as album art for you, so you wouldn't really be missing out on
anything other than ownership of the (cat-****-soaked) records.

Just because we're having a tiff doesn't mean that I should have to
