I did tell y'all something once before, about the Pentagon. cuhulin "Earth" on the Discovery Channel did it for me. The problem with not getting HDTV is that a lot of channels are HD channels squeezed into analog. If you want the real pictures you have to have HD to see everything. AT&T U-Verse crap.I haven't signed any paper(s) on that.AT&T to install that crap for me on Monday, March 7, 2011. My paper the guy at that AT&T retail store (about two blocks South of doggy's couch) handed me yesterday afternoon when I was over thar.It says, AT&T U-Verse TV $84/Month. AT&T U-Verse Internet $47.00/Month. AT&T U-Verse Voice Voice Unlimited $39.95 Month. What the Hell!, I don't need that sheet.I can't really afford it anyway, I am po. What is AT&T Voice Unlimited? I rarely ever use my AT&T land line phone. But, (like I was telling doggy just now) I wonder how AT&T TV compares to my DirecTV? I am paying for, abouts $82.00 every month. I think doggy would tell me, WOOF WOOF! , you better git your arse back over thar to that AT&T store and CANCEL that sheet, before you screw up Big Time! Metinks doggy is 100 percent Exactly Right. cuhulin That $47 for Internet sounds high . Did they specify the speed at all ? That's 10 Mb/s from Time-Warner around here. Telco can't go that fast. Time Warner charges 3 times what DSL Extreme wants. I'm happy at 5. Solid 5.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - No Time Warner over here . Cablevision are REAL highway robbers if you want my opinion . So is AT&T and Verizon , the two Nosferatus they are . |

Doggy's couch is the onliest place (best seat in the house!) from whence I watches tee vee. Get at least a 24" for the bedroom, 40" minimum for the parlor. The smaller screen will have a better picture . REAL 1080P HDTV is still a dream . For giggles, just look at Foxy Network-- 720P is the maximum they broadcast . *Even PBS ( ! ) is much more advanced, despite all the cuts in funding . 720P is superior to 1080i for fast action (fewer artifacts). You only get 1080p very rarely in the real world. Not worth a big premium. 1080P is HDTV . Anything less is a gimmick . And the difference is easy to see . |
