Furthermore, I have no idea what "medical plan" the vets are under. Possibly you are referring to the Agent Orange issue or the spent uranium bullets? If so, the root problem may be that the science just hasn't caught up yet -- although I seem to recall that they are finally realizing some of the Agent Orange issues. My son did his Residency at a VA hospital, so I will have to ask him about this. Again however, I believe this thread was essentially focused on Medicare -- which is MUCH larger than the vet issue -- and with Medicare, pre-existing conditions do NOT appear to be a problem.
