Nah, it was the likes of Barney (give it to me in the ass) Frank.

Not true. It was actually a handful of people at a handful of
institutions making greedy (and stupid) decisions. 2 acts of Congress,
criminal behavior by Moody's and S&P and some below the radar "waivers"
created a derivatives bubble. Barney Frank just provided the bubble
material. Phil Gramm, Alan Greenspan, Clinton, Geightner, etc. all went
crazy reversing the laws Roosevelt put in place. This is what happens
when business is deregulated.

These people crashed the economy on purpose so they could destroy the
New Deal.

Sorry, chum - Dave's right both in general and in detail, and
demonstrably so. You need to get your information somewhere other
than Fox Screws.

Sorry, Dave is incorrect. You need to get your information somewhere other than
your DNC handlers.

And YOU need to get your information from somewhere other than Rush

C'mon Steve, you're just a little working class guy like the rest of us.
Why are you getting in bed with the greedy rich *******s?

P.S.
I truly don't remember the country being *this* divided during the reign
of Bush Senior OR Clinton. It seemed to start with Bush Jr, possibly
because of his two wars. And make no mistake, this country is truly,
seriously divided, probably more so than any time since the Civil War.
Heck of a job, George W.

P.P.S.
It does indeed look like actual class warfare -- and Wisconsin is the
opening battle.

Speaking of Wisconsin, why doesn't Governor Walker man up and have the
balls to admit his main goal is to bust the unions.

1) Walker said it is (and continues to be) economic.

2) The unions said they would give him the economic concessions he wanted.

3) Walker turned them down cold.

Ergo, it -wasn't- economic after all and Walker is not being honest with
us (as in lying).

Per back issues of the Milwaukee Journal, when Walker was the county
exec for Milwaukee County, he fired all the union security guards and
replaced them with guards from Wackenhut, a BRITISH company (thanks for
getting rid of those Wisconsin jobs). Then an independent auditor ruled
that he illegally fired the original guards and that they had to be
re-hired, with back pay, costing the county $500,000. I'm seeing a
pattern he Walker seems to have a major league grudge against unions.

Walker also said to the 14 Dems in the Wisconsin legislature "Come back
and we will debate it". Then he said the whole issue is totally
non-negotiable. So, Guv, if it's *non-negotiable*, what's to debate, hmmm?

And while we are on the subject of Wisconsin politicians putting their
foot in their mouths, Rep. Paul Ryan went on national TV and said the
people in Madison were RIOTING.

Either he is incompetent (does not understand the meaning of the word
"rioting") or is just flat out lying. If he watched even 5 minutes of
the Madison TV coverage, he would have seen it was about as peaceful as
it could be.

Why are you getting in bed with the Liberal/Democrat/Marxist/Socialsts?

And who are the greedy rich *******s? Those who make and sell products and/or
services that you can decline to purchase by personal choice, or, those who will
steal your money via taxation, and, if you refuse to pay can come and confiscate your
worldly possessions by way of force/law?

Have you ever heard of the phrase "checks and balances"?

Do your homework, review the auto companies of the 1930s, before the
unions came into being. There was a very good reason why the unions were
needed, namely Capital's rampant abuse of Labor.

Unions have had their share of excesses, as has Big Business (witness
the current Great Recession, courtesy of Big Business greed). You NEED
checks and balances. If the Repubs get their way and make the unions
disappear, there will be no protection for labor, nothing, NOTHING to
balance runaway greed.

It's that simple -- unions, even with their imperfections, are needed to
balance the greed of Capital. Again, do your homework and find out about
all the abuses that took place before unions.

Finally, you complain about "those who will steal your money via
taxation". What are you saying? That you don't want taxes at all? That
you only want some taxes? How much is too much? I don't know about you,
but I -like- our libraries, paved roads, traffic lights, police and fire
departments, all paid for by taxes. I presume your disability benefits
are helpful to you. You can be against taxes, but make sure you don't
shoot yourself in the foot.

You really need to get out more! And, you really need to stop siding with the
Liberal/Democrat/Marxist/Socialists.
