Thanks, Bruce There are a bunch of updates. You need to send the radio to Washington. They will make it better than new for about $150-$200. There are bad capacitors inside sealed sub-assemblies; the whole radio gets taken apart.. ICOM America is a small company with nice people. You can get the lead service tech on the phone no problem. They have a flat rate for the R75 upgrade as I recall. How to Contact Technical Support Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Phone: (800) 253-1498 or (425) 450-6087 Email Technical Support Department http://www.icomamerica.com/en/contac...ContactType=TS Thanks - I would love to do this - but the thing has Kiwa mods that I really like, and I don't want IcomAmerica to restore it back to any "original condition". However, I will try a phone call to see what they can do for me. |
