In your description of Trump, you seem to have overlooked "arrogant", "loudmouth", "obnoxious", "egotistical" and "blowhard". He is all of the above, but despite all that, Trump seems to have managed to make a pot full of money. In addition, he has done so legally and honorably. Can you say the same? So you don't have any problem in him being multiple-bankruptcy obnoxious moron - as long as it is honorable? -- "In no part of the constitution is more wisdom to be found, than in the clause which confides the question of war or peace to the legislature, and not to the executive department." - James Madison |

Even more delicious is his honorable hypocrisy as he loudly denouces all those products "Made in China" while most of the products he sells (or brands with his name) are Chinese imports ("I had no choice!" "They made me do it!"). |

I have many problems with Trump, and would not vote for him if he were the only choice available. What I am saying is that he has probably accomplished more in his life than any of us on Usenet, and certainly more than our current president. |

Like a black man becoming president over a country full of racist white people wasn't any kind of accomplishment - and doing so without going bankrupt 4 times and getting married three times! Who's the real failure in life? |

You still have not said what wonderful things Trump has done -- other than he -may- or may not have made a bag full of money (or be leveraged to the hilt). However, we both agree he is an obnoxious, loudmouth blowhard. Other than that, what is Trump's claim to fame? Obama, however, was elected President of the Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious law review in the country. He did a lot of Public Service work after graduation. He was elected to Congress. And finally, you don't consider being elected President of the US as not "accomplishing more in his life"? |
