Default kenwood r5000

hi.i am a s.w.l with a kenwood r5000. kenwood ant tuner at-120 .se hf360 80-6 antenna.

I can hear signals at 6-7 on smeter is there any thing I can buy to make them better.

Do you have other radios? Where are you located? What are your
expectations?

I'm not familiar with the r5000. Does the s meter go high on strong
local broadcast stations? If not, there could be a problem with the
antenna, lead in or the radio.
