Welcome to the Palstar world, jw. I have been following your Palstar
adventure over on NRC. I am looking fwd to the details. I just got
the MW tuner for my R30. Still too new with it to be able to provide
many details yet. If you ever need the procedure to make the internal
adjustment to get it dead on frequency, I have that one documented.
Good idea on the battery set up you chose.

I just bought one for backpacking miniDXpeditions. I like it, it only weighs 2
lbs without batteries, does not overload on MW even with 700 ft of wire and a
5kw directional local 2 miles away. My only complaint so far is that it is deaf
below 500khz. THe sensitivity is something like 2uv ... horrible ! I hope there
will be a mod for this.
