Basically anything that you would use to protect the radio before
transporting it (including the original styrofoam inside the shipping box). Most of the after-market knobs I've seen protrude a good bit farther out than the originals. If you've got a lot of leverage on a longer knob that is attached to a plastic (or easily bent metal) shaft, it will cause (at the best) a wobbly control or (at the worst) a damaged volume or tuning component. -- Stinger -- "CW" wrote in message news:m6Wyb.1168$_M.13605@attbi_s54... Carrying case? "Stinger" wrote in message ... Probably the *best* way to do it is to completely change the knob. That way, you'll still have the old knob handy if you need to put the radio back into the carrying case. You can pick up some really snazzy knobs he http://home.att.net/~maghakian/wsb/h...ome.html-.html -- Stinger wrote in message news:2jKyb.273684$275.968426@attbi_s53... anyone know how to add some weight to this knob for a better feel? thanks jack |
