I have a Sony ICF-2010 that is appr. 10 years old. Last year, one of
my darling children pulled it off a counter, and it dropped aboutthree feet onto a vinyl kitchen floor. After this, the radio is absolutely dead, whether I use the 110V transformer or batteries to attempt to power up the unit. Sony has a flat repair fee of $113 to fix the unit, but with fine print "does not cover abuse". In any event, I would prefer to buy a smaller radio than repair the 2010 for this price. My question is whehter this radio is worth anything to a hobbyist? I can put this on EBay, but if I'm only going to get $5 for it I might as well chuck it in the trash now. Thanks for the info. |
