The modifications must be effective. The 909, on it's whip antenna, is not
exactly deaf but rather hard of hearing. The filters are pretty poor. It performs well on an external antenna though but, of course, this doesn't do anything for the filters. I do, however, know that the sensitivity is very good on this one. As far as overloading it is not a big problem although it is somewhat noticeable.
