Seems to be a good night for MW DX. Here are some of the big boys that I
was able to hear tonight from NJ. I used the Sony-7600gr without an external antenna. The ssb selectable am synch works like a charm for MW DX. All the logs below were made between 3:00 UTC to 4:30 UTC 680 WRKO; Boston, MA: weak with QRN 720 WGN; Chicago, IL: weak with QRN 740 AM; Toronto, Canada: good signal 750 WSB; Atlanta, GA: weak with QRN 810 WGY; Schnectady, NY; good signal 830 (I think WCCO, Minneapolis, MN... couldent get a sure ID. Was a football game that had a QB named Robinson) 840 WHAS; Louisville, KY: good signal 940 Montreal, Canada: good with some QRN 1000 WMVP; Chicago, IL: very good signal 1020 KDKA; Pittsburg, PA: very good signal 1030 WBZ; Boston, MA: good signal 1060 KYW; Philadelphia, PA: good signal 1080 WTIC; Hartford, CT: good signal 1090 WBAL; Baltimore, MD: very good signal 1100 WTAM; Cleveland, OH: very good signal 1110 WBT; Charlotte, NC: very good signal 1140 WRVA; Richmond VA: weak with QRN 1180 WHAM; Rochester, NY: good signal 1210 WPHT; Philadelphia, PA: good signal 1220 WHK; Cleveland, OH: weak to good with QRN 1500 WTOP; Washington, DC: weak to good with QRN 1510 WWZN; Boston, MA heard here along with WLAC; Nashville, TN. 1520 WWKB; Buffalo, NY: weak with QRN 1530 WSAI; Cincinnati, OH: weak with QRN 1540 WPTR; Albany, NY heard here along with KXEL Waterloo, IA -- Respectfully, Michael Location: New Jersey Primary Receiver: R-75 with full Kiwa mods Antennas: G5RV, 200ft "Frankenstein" roof wire Additional Radios: 7600GR,KA-1101,KA-1102 PL-550, KA-989, Info-Mate 837, GE-SR III Westinghouse H-104 (seven tube) Web Site: http://md_dxing.tripod.com |
