The transmitter in Yolo County is Coast Guard point to point, while the one in Solano County is attributed variously to the AF or the Navy. Running dog, I once took a road trip from Yosemite to Death Valley driving south through Mono and Inyo counties: http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/do9map.htm On my left (east) about a mile or so was a huge satellite dish farm. Do you have any clue as to its purpose? |
