Those old tube type radios are the best, esecially if they have wooden
cabinets and usually they will pick up longer distance AM stations
better too.(I own some tube type radios) Set a plastic radio or a
plastic radio with digital/lights/readouts out in the hot sun or on the
dashboard of your vehicle out in the hot sun and watch them go completly
to RUIN! Let electromagnetic radiation zap tube type radios and they
will stutter along for a while and then come back to life as though
nothing ever happened, just as good as new.Plastic transistors **** isn't
worth a ****! Them Eton plastic radios that some folks were talking
about how nice that plastic looks! BULL****!
