I don't think they'd be flattered to hear you referring to them as "cheap meat". eg The fact that he has to pay for it at all, regardless of the price, is quite disturbing. On the contrary, I think it was to be expected. |

But they all require subscriptions to AC power and/or batteries, yet you have no problem with that, do you? Guess it's all in how one defines 'subscription'. Most folks don't think of AC power and/or batteries as being subscription services. Don't stop there, keep going. How about property taxes and mortgages? You didn't look very carefully.
This is Sirius channel 115: On the contrary, I looked very closely. The vast majority of the programs listed there are programs that you can receive on smallest, cheapest shortwave receiver out there, using only the whip. Is this what's supposed to get me excited about Sirius? You must be kidding. And I can already hear BBC World Service News 24 hours a day, with my choice of multiple frequencies at any given time. One thing I haven't looked at yet is the Sirius channel that features military comms, amateur radio operators and so on. Can you provide a link to that channel's schedule, please? Steve |

You are not the mayor if this board. Perhaps not... but you certainly are the hawker of non terrestrial radio here are you not, 'tard boy? This is a 'radio' board for the most part, and satellite crap just don't cut it. But, for a fellow who can't read, and certainly can't tell time it probably fits your lifestyle. Tote it. dxAce Michigan USA |

Steve My HF radios work great. Unfortunately, aside from a few hours a day, the programming is predominantly end-timers and prophesisers. Have you considered the possibility that you are xenophobic? I don't think I'm xenophobic. I enjoy learning about foreign peoples and cultures. In fact, that's one of the reasons why I enjoy shortwave. If you're only able to get end-timers or prophesisers for all but a few hours a day, then you are *definitely* having a problem....either with your receivers or, most likely, your antenna(s). If you'd describe the problem in more detail, the folks in the group here might be able to help you. Steve |

A radio music station here in Jackson plays some Knee Deep in Bluegrass
music every day and there are no commercials and there is another radio station here that plays Country Music with no commercials www.us963.com (us963 where God isn't dead) us963 does make some pertinent announcements from time to time about things related to us963 and upcoming events, but they are not the usual crappy commercials on some other radio stations. There are many local Jackson area radio stations,Christian,Music,Sports,Talk Shows on the radio (free to listen to Radio Stations) around here.(do a search for them if you want to) I don't really know how many of them have no commercials because I haven't ever checked them all out before.I have my favorite AM and FM Radio Stations I like to listen to.Why should I pay to listen to Radio Stations when the AM and FM Radio Stations I like the best are free. The Radio Stations around here are not slanted and biased either. cuhulin |
