"Jim" wrote in message ... thanks! its great news that the internal antenna is better than the external one. the bad news is that i am trying to use the loop because the am reception on that radio is so lousy! i have 3 dx390 radios and the am was lousy on all three. my dx39/ats606 runs circles around all the dx390/ats818 radios yet it responds well to the loop. hmmm. i guess i should check into alignment procedures. I also have a ats818c(the ratshack dx392) and its litterally deaf on FM, AM not much better. Even with a longwire or amp'd antenna. |
