Shoot first ask questions later. That is how you deal with those
'holes.

Considering it was the wrong guy...

Guess the 'wrong guy' should have stopped rather than run!

A real no-brainer.

It was revealed today the guys visitors permit had expired two years ago ! I
guess he had a reason to run !!

So that's enough justification for shooting an innocent person in the head 7
times and one more in the shoulder?

Yeah, I mean really, what a waste of ammunition. That shoulder shot was totally
uncalled for...

If all he was guilty of was not renewing his visitors permit, then he
shoudn't have ran.He should have stopped regardless. He would either be
walking around in limeyland now or on his way back to
Brazil, whatever.Things are very tense over there,he should have known
that.He was stupid and the cops did the right thing.

Corrected today by the Home Secretary who said that his visa was still
valid.

Visitor permit or not,he still should have stopped. The cops didn't know
whether he was a terrorist or not.For all they knew,he could have had a
bomb on him and was going to set it off.Bottom line is,When the cops
holler STOP!,that means STOP!

BMC,

It was AFAIK a student visa.

These last for typically one year however one can get an extension for a
further year by showing proof that ones college fees have been paid in
advance.

After that period though one 'normally' has to return to ones home
country.

One exception is if one can find a sponsor and a good lawyer to receive
a work permit but this must be impossible for an 'electrician'.!

My 2p is that some of this is a government, media, police BS smoke
screen for killing an innocent person.

I think they call it 'damage limitation'.

I hate to think what fallout there would of been had the guy been a
Muslim.

They were plain cloths cops and AFAIK do not shove ID in your face.

This fella had no idea they were cops.

We have far more criminals with guns now in the UK than gun carrying
police.

The latter are in the minority.

I can only imagine the guy was scared to hell.

I'd run too.
