Think helical. Several years ago I made a 40 meter J-pole using twin lead. Wound it around 10 ft. of 1" PVC pipe. Worked well for field day, signal strengths comparable to those from a full sized dipole... but with the advantage of being omni-directional. Get some 4" or 6" PVC sewer pipe and do the math for length. Should be interesting. Hmm, think I'll go visit Radio Shack soon! 73, Dale NJ7C |
