Default 11-Meter Beacon Still Going Strong!

Hi all,

Just thought I'd drop a couple of useful links and say hi.

http://www.dxring.net/11beacon.htm

http://members.tripod.com/~cb_antennas/index.shtml

Glad to see the beacon project outlived many of it's detractors.

Here's wishing a very Happy Father's Day to all whom it applies and
may their families enjoy the day as well.

Hello Bert, how the hell are you????????????
well most of the regulars are hear, they just only
answer posts when it's something other than Mark
and his fan club.
Have a Great 4th, be safe and we'll hope to talk
to you again soon.

Wow,

I posted this solely to rec.radio.cb because it clearly was an 11-
meter related subject, however, the reply was then cross-posted to
rec.ponds, ba.broadcast, rec.radio.amateur.policy, alt.autos.mini and
rec.radio.shortwave... I wonder why? Oh well, I've corrected that.

Why would someone put a beacon on channel 14?

The best answer to that query is "because they can." I have much more
respect for folks who are willing to "find a way" to legally
accomplish a goal rather than acquiesce to the naysayers, who very
rarely accomplish much of anything.

Hey there, how're you? Well, I hope. I've been so busy that I hardly
check USENET anymore. Sadly, I've been pretty much off the air as
well. I guess I'll fix that in the not-too-distant future. Take care
and all the best to you and yours. Happy Independance Day to you too.

This beacon is probably one of the most valuable assets to hams/cb'ers
in the SJ valley, and probably goes unappreciated ...

I use it frequently to test new antennas/designs/constructions ... if
you can "hear" better, you definitely can xmit better!

Thanks,
JS
