It ain't a reddeo unless the meter swings wildly on AM. (I must clip, remove that damn limiter...it's hurting me! My reddeo is broke because it has a factory part in it.) |

He's right, cutting limiters only increase splatter. You are better off getting a good antenna, proper grounding and if needed a small good amp. Hmm, I think we're not quite on the same trail. All I need is about 10 watts to kick the amp properly. I don't like the idea of cutting the limiter myself, however, I'm betting a small change to get 8 or 10 watts out of it would not cause splatter. Maybe I'll just swap out the finals in the thing and see if the rig can drive 'em. I do understand what you were saying about splatter and I hate hearing that on air too. Thanks, Steveo. |

if you hook up an oscilloscope and do a before and after test you will see
