Latest NEWS/INFO for the NEWSLETTER - MMMonVHF The VHF-DX-Portal
************************************************** ***************

First Sporadic E Openinings 2008 on 144 MHz in Europe...
24th may: After long time waiting on the first Sporadic E on 144 MHz
today it finally occured. There was high MUF since the early morning.
Several QSOs have been made. MUF was high until midnight when FAI
occured between I and G as well as F and HA while 3 meter was open
from the border DL/SP to CT and EA. Thats always good sign for the
coming days. 25th may: And again 144 was open. 50 and 70 MHz didn't
really drop in the night (G was working into I on 4 meters after
midnight) and that was a great promise for today... So - if you
interested in reading more info or if youself made some ES contacts
and wants to share it with the active community, please welcome
at: http://www.mmmonvhf.de/es.php
You will be able to find up to date infos, as well summaries and details
back to the year 2004 and as well you be able to upload your own sporadic
E log! We just start the service and so please excuse that we also have
learn day by day. We will try to implement some DXC Spots to the MAPīs
maybe as well (tnx for the input) - any further ideas are very welcome!

JX9JKA is currently off air due to RFI on the fuelsupply (day tank
get shut off) for the generators on the island. As soon as this problem
is solved he will be back on air. I presume he had propagations on six
today since JW9SIX were spotted a few times. Per, LA7DFA Sunday 25 May

VK9DWX - Willis Island - taking place October 2008
The DXpedition Team was rather active during the last couple of month.
Here the latest news: 6m operations. Right now we have not yet decided,
whether it will be meaningful to operate 6m, because it will require
more costs and time and we are not sure if the (probably only small)
results are worth the efforts. Maybe we will hear more on this in our
guestbook soon. Let us know, how strong you would support a 6m operation.
