![]() KB6NU's Ham Radio Blog /////////////////////////////////////////// CW Freaks and Geeks Posted: 06 Dec 2016 12:49 PM PST http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/kb6nu...m_medium=email Below is a video of ZF2MJ/N6MJ operating single-operator, two-radios (SO2R) in the recent CQ Worldwide CW contest. Hes working both 20m and 15m simultaneously. Whats amazing to me is how composed he is. I have to really concentrate when operating even a single radio. If you aspire to be as good as N6MJ, you might want to download CW Freak. Im not sure where I heard about this program, but being a CW geek, I was immediately drawn to the name. Its a free program that runs on just about any version of Windows that you might have, and will help you copy callsignsÂ*better. It sends at speeds from 15 wpmÂ*to more than 100 wpmÂ*(although Im not sure why it goes that fast), and attempts to simulate a contest environment by varying the tone of the signal as its sending the callsigns. This might be something to play around with for fun when band conditions are particular crummy. The post CW Freaks and Geeks appeared first on KB6NUs Ham Radio Blog. |
