I knew that's what you meant...

I've had a few old Icoms and had nothing but problems with dry solder
joints...I'm sticking with the FT-736R...outperforms my FT-847...

The ones that started the ball Rolling for Mutek were the FT-221R and
FT-225RD. I preferred my trusty IC-202S, but I never did figure where to
fit the Mutek board. Anybody on 2m SSB these days?

Well I am sticking with my old IC751. A Guy in Italy made a replacement
ramboard and sold em all over the world, what the board did was fix it
so it was impossible for the IC751 to loose its brain (operating system).
Mine did that and I lost most of the bands were lost, no way to restore
them. The Italian guy made a whole new board to replace the original
one so you could never loose the operating system itself, you would
only loose the 32 memories you had stored manually. These of course
could of course be reset one by one in a few mins.
