Their handheld scanner is a little disapointing in that it leaves out the
UHF Aero band. I have also looked at the ARO box that will hook up to a
10.7 If output on some radios but I think the little box sells for 369.95.

I have seen a group on Yahoo for the new radio shack scanner. pro-2096, They
have some pictures and a pre release manual. I have only taken a quick look
but It looks like they basically pot the pro-96 in a box. I do not see any
mention of RS-232 port but I was in a hurry. I know understand they planed a
base unit as well.

I read that its been type accepted but no mention of when it will be in the
store.
