Go back to the beginning and you will see that it was started by someone attacking and making fun of, and insulting Canadians. (Also having nothing to do with shortwave radio.) Amost everything in this thread since then has been attacks back and forth by Canadians and Americans. Particularily by member "dxAce" insulting Canadians, and calling Canadians and Canada dirty names and other insults. Nobody in this thread has been discussing shortwave radios, although we are all members of the rec.radio.shortwave group. If you are interested in ending these type of threads, then perhaps you should do something about people who insult others just because they are a different nationality. I have spent my time trying to end the name calling back and forth. I certainly didn't start it. There are people here who seem to have a hatred for Canada and Canadians. Check the thread history. It goes back quite a way now. You might also think of going after the person who started the insults of Canada and Canadians. It's because of him that this whole thing started. With respect, Cato |

You will see how this whole thing started. Nope, right from the start it had nothing to do with shortwave radio. It started back on May 4, so you've missed a lot. Quite a few people involved in this thread. If you have no interest, you could try and ignore it. That's what I should have probably done. But being Canadian myself, it was really hard to ignore an insult. "Dumbass Canuck" seems to be the way to refer to Canadians. How would Americans feel if we started insulting the States, and Americans?? But Beerbarrel isn't all that bad. One of the real insulters is dxAce, who seems to have a real hatred of Canada, and Canadians. He tosses out insults and namecalling every time he has a chance. Nope... nothing to do with shortwave radio. But I never started it. Yep, I do love shortwave radios. I have a collection of them and love listening. That's why I am here. But I will not let people insult Canadians or Canada without a reply. As long as they are allowed to do that on this list, then myself, and other Canadians here, will stand up in defence of our country and nationality. I would expect Americans to do the same if I was to insult their nationality and their country. WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Reuters) -- Canada's postal system has stopped delivering mail to a home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, after a mail carrier was scared away by a "very threatening cat," the Winnipeg Free Press said Friday. A Canada Post spokeswoman said the agency was concerned about the safety of its carriers, although it hoped for an amicable solution to its dispute with cat-owner John Samborski. "The letter carrier who delivers mail there ... was brought up on a farm, she is very comfortable with animals," spokeswoman Kathi Neal told the newspaper. "Apparently this is a very threatening cat." Samborski told the paper that his 8-year-old, declawed, black cat Shadow is docile, and it was "ridiculous" for Canada Post to make him to pick up his mail from a post office instead of delivering it to his door. Shadow "likes to eat and sleep and cuddle. You could drop a bomb and he'd just open one eye, take a look, then close them and go back to sleep," Samborski, 41, told the newspaper. |

Cato.......I understand your concern about the insults. I'm an american &
have no animosity or ill will against canada. As far as those that insult others, i just block them & they cease to exist as far as any future posts are concerned. "Cato" wrote in message oups.com... ![]() Why don't you mention the comment he made that started it? Having sex with my sister! He deserves it all Tommy Tooter. I say screw him and his dead mom. When he apologizes, I'll change my mind. I only insulted Canadians because he is one and he gets involved in others affairs way too often. I don't really have any problems with Canadians just a select few.
