Hey, Edtardo... tell us again about the amateur radio license you had in Ecuador. What was that call? HC1DG Ya got proof of that? It never seems to show up in any Callbooks. What kinda test did you take? http://hamcall.net/call?callsign=HC1DG Interesting, but I'd be curious to see if he held that call in the late '60's as that is when the reprobate Edweenie claims to have held the call, though it appears to have not shown up in any Callbook at the time. Not surprising- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - My guess is we're gonna hear some rap about how "Carlos", "Cesar", "Maldonado", and "Reinoso" are more "middle names" that Tardo has "always had" and "chooses to use in some contexts". Calls are recycled nearly everywhere. They are not like football jerseys and they don't get retired. I had the calls from about 1965 into the late 60's. I really don't remember if one had to renew with some regularity or not. Licenses were "courtesy" grants in most cases. |

HC1DG OK, tell us what tests you had to take. And can you provide a copy of the license? There was no test. Licenses for anything in Ecuador were "actas" on European size legal paper. Of course I have not saved a ham license from the 60's (I don't even have my first FCC 1st ticket) and probably most people don't. What I am saying is that most anyone who wanted a ham license could ask for one and get it. There is no testing, just some fees and a "fee" for processing. The limiting factor in Ecuador was that the average annual income per household then was less than $1000 a year, and imported ham gear could easily cost $2 thousand or more. Any "luxury" item had as much as 200% of the CIF value plus foreign exchange charges, etc. Not many people could become hams there. |

Or you simply paid a larger fee and you got a license. |

You also don't seem to recall where you've worked in the past, or what your job title is. Interesting. I recall perfectly well... and the information has been on my website for more than a decade. As to the job title, I know what it is, too... an industry association got it wrong in a convention program, and dxAss want's to make this appear as some kind of major discovery; I did a panel along with the heads of programming of Clear Channel, Entercom, Radio One and Cumulus for about 3,000 attendees, all of whom knew who I was. It's a matter of public record. You really need to stop parroting the posts of dxAss,, especially on weekends and the days before and after, when it is apparent that he is in his cups. You are merely nothing more than a sad little pathological SOB who will lie at the drop of a sombrero. Prove your previous statements and send all the documents to: Steven R. Lare W6SWL 733 Myrtle Avenue Holland, MI 49423 USA Put the proof where your mouth is, Edweenie! Stuff it. This is not a deposition. I have given names and even have a website filled with all kinds of pictures and documents. I challenge you do disprove anything there.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - You're doing an exceptional job of disproving it yourself. If we just stay out of your way you'll do all the work for us. Then shut up and stay out of the way, moron. Nothing worse than you acting as DxAdamandSteve's cock-puppet. JB |

Then you did not have a license... sounds like Hose-A sold you one... there was a code test at that time, as far as I know. Never took a driver's test, either. Of course not, you could not pass it! |
