The Internet is the perfect venue for people like these. They suffer
from Anti-social Personality Disorder and can not function in 'real
life' situations where they would have to interact with other people.
They lie. They cheat. They steal. They have no regard for others, and
show no embarrassment when caught at any of these, blaming others for
their own shortcomings.

This is clearly demonstrated by Robert Johnson and his inability to to
blend into the Thai social system nor the Ex-pat community in Chiang
Mai. Instead, he drinks all day, splutters out a few lines into the
newsgroups where he doesn't have to actually face anyone, then drops off
in a drunken fugue only to wake up and repeat it all the next day.

Demonstrated by Scott Koplin's inability to hold a job, inability to
keep a residence, and inability to even get through Military Basic Training.
