Like Reagan?

He committed perjury in the Pointdexter deposition

Apparently only in the twisted minds of the Kangaroo Court of Leftist
****bags. He was never charged. Are you suggesting that the then Democrat
Congress couldn't get it's collectives dicks out of the asses of 17 yo male
pages long enough to charge and impeach him?

a) It's true he wasn't charged. *The intent of the impeachment clause
is to "Protect" the nation, not to "get" a political enemy. (like
republicans did against clinton)

b) He wasn't charged (impeached) because it would have made more of a
mess of the nation than the republicans had been doing. *He was found
out, he went on TV and admitted he lied, and democrats did not demand
indictment because he was nothing but on old fool

PERJURY

When a person, having taken an oath before a competent tribunal,
officer, or person, in any case in which a law of the U.S. authorizes
an oath to be administered, that he will testify, declare, depose, or
certify truly, or that any written testimony, declaration, deposition,
or certificate by him subscribed, is true, willfully and contrary to
such oath states or subscribes any material matter which he does not
believe to be true; or in any declaration, certificate, verification,
or statement under penalty of perjury, willfully subscribes as true
any material matter which he does not believe to be true; 18 USC

In order for a person to be found guilty of perjury the government
must prove: the person testified under oath before [e.g., the grand
jury]; at least one particular statement was false; and the person
knew at the time the testimony was false.

The testimony of one witness is not enough to support a finding that
the testimony was false. There must be additional evidence, either the
testimony of another person or other evidence, which tends to support
the testimony of falsity. The other evidence, standing alone, need not
convince that the testimony was false, but all the evidence on the
subject must do so.

OK, Gary; using the above LEGAL definition of "perjury," prove that
Ronaldus Maximus commotted perjury.

Making an assertion is easy for you, Gary; let's see if you are
capable of assembling a criminal case to support that assertion.

Remember, Gary: in order to obtain a conviction you must prove your
case "beyond all reasonable doubt."

I wouldn't say backfired, they seem to have taken all the wealth ... I'd
say you are looking at a very successful plan.

Damn soon we are going to be looking at garbage cans full of dollar
bills and watching masses of people glean the lands looking for
something to eat ... we have now reached the point where thing grow more
interesting every day, and every day only brings a list naming new
problems, with no previous problems having been fixed. We approach the
"straw which broke the camels' back."

Gallup, in a poll released Friday, asked 1,015 adults to name the
president they regard as the greatest in history.

Ronald Reagan finished first at 19 percent, followed by Abraham
Lincoln at 14 percent and Bill Clinton at 13 percent.

Yeah, I don't believe a word of it, only morons would not recognize that
raygun was/is the beginning of everything you now see happening, it was
he who tore off all the controls, and in his words, "time to turn the
bull loose."

Well, now that the bull has destroyed good jobs, decent wages,
sufficient retirement, medical, etc. see how you like your new digs!

Maybe it is thing with morons, they will live in a dump and count their

You're talking indictment under the criminal code

Pay close attention here, Gary:

"In order for a person to be found guilty of perjury the government
must prove: the person testified under oath before [e.g., the grand
jury]; at least one particular statement was false; and the person
knew at the time the testimony was false."

What is your evidence to prove that, IF, as you claim, Reagan made
false statements to a grand jury, that he KNEW the statements were
false.

GOTCHA! snicker

Whether or not someone is indicted, doesn't mean that the act didn't
happen.

You still offer ZERO proof, Gary; just more unsupported assertions.

In the case of Reagan, he cannot be indicted until removed from office
using the impeachment clause.

First: Ronald Wilson Reagan died at his home in Bel Air, California on
the afternoon of Saturday, June 5, 2004, so why in the world are you
writing in the present tense???

Second: Care to show ANY statute that prevents the indictment,
prosecution and conviction of a sitting POTUS?

Third: Ronald Reagan's approval ratings:

Ronald Reagan From the People’s Perspective: A Gallup Poll Review
March 18-20, 2002
Approval: 73%
Disapproval: 22%
No Opinion: 5%

"The People have spoken."

He can be impeached, then prosecuted

{GIC}

He can finish his term, then be indicted

Evidence?

In reagan's case, the evidence of perjury were contained in Grand Jury
depositions where all, or most, of the deposed witnesses in the John
Pointdexter issue swore under oath that Reagan testified (under oath)
falsely, that he did know about the ongoing Iran-Contra schemes, sat
in on meetings, and gave permission

Reagan also lied to congress

Reagan lied to The public.

In either case, no impeachment because doing so did not fit the "clear
and present danger" test;

What "clear and present danger test"?

The Constitution of the United States
Article II - The Executive Branch
Section 4 - Disqualification

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United
States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and
Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and
Misdemeanors.

Don't find "clear and present danger" here, Gary.

...*and because the poor sap was nothing more than
a drooling idiot by the time he was in his last years.

I didn't see any evidence of his being " drooling idiot" while he was
in office, Gary; unlike you who demonstrate almost daily to your being
a "droolong Yoorghis IDIOT."
