If the war were "widespread enough", what makes you think *anyone* would survive, "most intelligent, mutualist" or otherwise? I'm afraid you will find the 'most intelligent' will be just as dead from radiation and starvation from the nuclear winter as their dumber brothers. It could well be in the best interests of human evolution. Double Huh?? A bit of a stretch to call the end of human life, "human evolution" don't you think? Yes, I get that religion could start a war, superstitions, blah, blah, blah (and may even agree with you on some points), but you seem to not have a grasp of the horrors and finality of nuclear war.
