Just bought a toy from ebay.. may be just the ticket for you. It's a nice
marine ship-shore radio.. the old MW stuff.. made for 2-3 MHz.. I'm going to
modify it (very easy to do with these) to work on the AMBCB. After I modify
it, I'll offer it to you for a reasonable price.. I'm betting it is about a
25 watt output, but I'll likely lower that a bit so it can operate on a 100%
duty cycle for broadcasting, plus make the audio chain capable of good
fidelity..

WOW sounds fabulous..................keep in touch. I'd love to buy it
when you get it working!! ;-).

As you can tell..................I re-istalled windoze, got all my
"core" apps working and it seems pretty stable so far......... ;-).

Netscape 7.1 is built on Mozilla 1.4.

If you want a REALLY snapppy browser, look at Mozilla Firebird.
It's in pre-milestone release currently at v 0.6. But it's small,
very fast, and very stable.

There is an installer version of Firebird on the website, but
it's hard to find.

Here's a link to the page with an unoffical Windows installer
build. It's written by the same guys who build the official
installers for Mozilla, and it makes all the necessary registry
entries so you can install plug-ins. I've had no problems with it
since install, but this is still a pre 1.0 release, so if you're
inclined to bitch...you may want to pass.

There is, however, and enormous amount of help on the Mozilla
site, if you like to experiment.

Both C/Net and PC magazine say that Mozilla is the best product
out there for browsing. And the mail client is rapidly becoming a
handy tool, as well. They also say that if Firebird is not your
default browser, then you need do some explaining as to why not.

But, there are the nay sayers out there...so if you're the kind
that makes up his/her own mind, then the horse's mouth is he

Ref: MS OS problems dumped on Netscape..

If you're running an MS OS then the issue is most likely
with that system. That OS is still spighetti coding and
it violates all the rules in that it has "hooks" into
the OS by an "application" program...notably the browser
I.E. Netscape cannot use those "hooks" and is not as
likely to hang up the OS as IE. Also, the paths to the
OS on IE are the root cause of many of these problems with
the hackers...it provides an easy route to the OS.

It might be wise to take a look at the Linux OS..the thing
works, has a number of browsers available. Look at
Mandrake-Linux...I've been running on since early 1998.
No hackers, virus, bugs, worms, snakes...

What cookie controls are you looking for? 0.6 has pretty good cookie
management, much better than IE.

I am sold on it because it renders all pages well, without IE's constant

Actually it does. Go to the Tools menu, click on Options.


Firebird is still a pre-milestone work in progress. Expect some
very sophisticated tools as things develop.

Depends which version. The current build is apparently based on Mozilla
1.4. The full User Agent of the present Netscape 7.1 build reads:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Netscape/7.1
