In article , Mike Wilcox
writes: And we all know what Rush has said about movie stars over the years who abused drugs. At least most of them admitted they had a problem publicly and went to the Betty Ford clinic under full media glare. If this turns out to be true Limbaugh is a total hypocrite of the worst sort, dumping publicly on addicts and the homeless for years for what he's been doing for years privately. Agree... |

You can't be a druggie and a racist while still pretending to occupy the conservative moral high ground. BYE BYE, RUSH!!! Just what did he say that was racist? I read his statement, there was nothing racist there at all. Please tell me what was racist about it. As for his ALLEGED drug use... innocent until proven guilty. At the same time, there are lots of folks out there who get hooked on pain killers, nothing new about that. Addictions can be cured, and in many instances have little to do with whether a person is 'good' or 'bad'. |

N8KDV,
It's no longer - what he said that is important [.] Its what the Media "News Makers" say that he said. - - - For They All Know What He Really Meant ! It's not the Law or Right or Wrong. - - - The Concept of Innocent Until Proven Guilty is Out of Date. It the Simple Fact of the Charges. - - - The Seriousness of these Charges that is Paramount. These Serious Charges must Be Investigated - - - and Given a Full Public Hearing. - - - The Facts and The Truth are Secondary. The Seriousness of the Charges are All Important. - - - The Facts be Dammed - - - The Truth be Dammed We Must Extract Our Pound of Flesh ! - - - For the Media "News Makers" have - - - Educated each of us to understand. - - - For We Now All Know What He Really Meant ! ~ RHF .. .. = = = N8KDV = = = wrote in message ... Ah yes. Evil conservatives are always juxtaposed with those loving,
caring liberals. So loving and caring. Sometimes, it is just so overwhelming that it brings tears to one's eyes. Geoff T Lawrence wrote in message ... You can't be a druggie and a racist while still pretending to occupy the conservative moral high ground. BYE BYE, RUSH!!! I doubt Rush is a racist. He frequently has black guest hosts when he's on vacation. When he had his syndicated TV show a significant part of the crew were "non whites". (the whole crew was on camera for the Christmas shows.) I'm not a football fan, so I have no idea if his comment was accurate regarding the QB, but in the past, I've heard Rush say something along the lines of: People who pander based on race are racist because they presume certain races have limited ability and need preferential treatment to succeed. I think sports fans often have a different sort of prejudice - "players on the team I like are great, players on the other team are lousy". Perhaps this was a factor - I have no clue what team(s) Rush roots for. We'll see what Rush has to say about the drugs - my guess is there is at least some truth to it because his initial comment about it was he didn't know of any investigation but will cooperate. Unless legal problems get in the way, I expect he'll retain most of his audience. |

The message from the Rush debacle is;
( and we've always known it ) "If you're white, you dare not mention race, except in the form of an apology" If you're Al Sharpton, or Jesse Jackson, you can speak as you damn well please, right, wrong, or racist, and the liberal media will "AMEN" you. rj |
