Cut a thin piece of Duct tape - same width as the knob and wrap it
around several times. The knob feels heavier, better grip and looks
fine if you do a nice job. I wrapped mine about 10 times around if I
remember correctly.

Hi,

Just done this on my radios and used a product called "Bluetak" in the UK.
It's the stuff that you use to stick paper to walls etc.

Some of the guys use lead shot from a couple of gun carts and then glue it
in place. If you use too much shot though it can do damage to the tuning
spindle.
