@mindspring.com says... I just picked up a 12 year old Sony 2010 in very very nice condition and working perfectly. With this radio being 12 years old, how many years of reliable service should it have left. Thanks for any info. on this subject...I don't really understand the technical stuff behind these radios and hope the damn thing can run another 12 years and not even blink, but perhaps that is wishful thinking??? Take care of it and it should last you many years. I've had a 2010 before. It's VERY well-built, and (unless the entire world goes to digital rather than analog signals) it should provide you with years of listening pleasure. -- -- //Steve// Steve Silverwood, KB6OJS Fountain Valley, CA Email: Please visit the following sites: American Shortwave Listening Club (ASWLC) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aswlc Southern California Area DXers http://groups.yahoo.com/group/scads |
