I knew John P. Boatwright. You could take all of the most irritating and
crazy people posting to r.r.s, stuff them into one person, and not even
approach the lunacy that was him. Fortunately, he's been off of Usenet for
several years. People used to be afraid of using his name in a post for fear
of summoning him. IIRC he'd scan dejanews for instances of his name such as
this one, and lo and behold...he'd appear. NOT good.
