Default 43mhz antenna help.

I am in need of a DB-212-2 or DB-212-3 antenna on 43mhz. I really just
need the phasing harness for the DB-212-2, but would take the whole
antenna. I have one on a 400 foot tower that has been struck by
lightning. I have been told that a replacement phasing harness can not
be bought from DB Products any more. The newest Tessco catalog does not
show a DB-212 at all. If some one can help call Ron at 405-681-7760 or
e-mail .

Have you called DB or did "someone" say they don't make the harnesses any
more??? It's been several years since I had any dealings with them but then
they would make a harness for anything to anything, just be sitting down
when the price comes in...

We called DB and spoke to an engineer. He said that all he could do was
to send us the diagrams for us the make our own. So, I have the
diagrams. The only thing is that I do not have any 35ohm coax and the
diagram did not show the length of the cable from the "tee" to the
elements. I was really hoping that I would not have to build a harness.
I am really busy right now and do not have the time.
Ron.

You can parallel two lengths of 70 ohm and arrive at 35 ohm impedance.

All he needs to do is get RG-83
RG-83
Z0(W) - 35.0 ohms
Dielectric Type - PE
Capacitance(pF/ft) - 44.0
O.D.(in.) - 0.405
dB/100 ft@400 MHz - 9.0
Vmax(rms) - 2,000
Shield - Braid
