I've said it once, I'll say it again. When people buy a news paper or magazine, they go to their favorite section(s) to read and skip the rest. The rest which may be enjoyed by still others. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE A POST, SKIP IT! What the hell is so freaking hard about it????? DAMNED! BLOCK THE SENDER if you feel they're wasting your time. GET A FREAKING LIFE. QUIT CRYING. G.W.

rec.radio.swap FAQ's at URL:
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/radio/swap-guide/ clearly says:
If you fail to append "FA" and "eBay" in your subject line, you will

surely be flamed
A diliberate variation "FA" to go around filters is not netiquette nor the
will of the charter.

People have strayed from the point of issue he
**the Long Island using variation's "FA" to avoid filters**
Since he is using a tactic to hack my filtering he is a "SPAMMER"
The charter clearly says "FA" and "eBay"
Snip:
we ask that you include "FA" ("For Auction") and also "eBay" to your

subject line
How about getting back to the issue and requesting the individule to post by
the rules.
I agree, some order is needed
FW: every single tidal wave of "FA variation" of this spammers posts to
and eBay

Says who? Your opinion doesn't count and you didn't write the guidelines for the newsgroups nor will you be the one to change them. Get over it already.

I think what got this all started was there is a certain person that
post 10 items every day or so and he dont just put FA: He puts
FA
fa
FA
fa
Fa
Fa
fa:
FA:
Etc Etc
Every post has a different preface.
He is doing this to get around our FA filters and is being a total
jerk about it. Thats it. Thats the problem.

Who really cares about FS / FA.
If you don't care to view the FA's, don't.
If you do care to view them, do.
It's that simple.
Grow up! Life is way to important!!

When I am looking for ham gear, I am looking for specific items. A
simple search on E-bay tells me if its there or not, then I leave it
in a notify mode... if one of what I am looking for shows up, I get
an e-mail. This saves me a lot of time. My time is worth
$60/hr...what is *your* time worth??

Well, at work, its $86.00 / hour. However, this is a hobby for me,
as for most of us I think, so wouldn't really want to place a value on it.
Many of us are probably retired anyway.

When we amortize 'our time' out over even something as short as our own
lifetime, it becomes worth a very small fiscal amount... the only true value
to 'our time' is in the living, and that is far too short for argument and
anger.
