But consider that in OOK Morse, the characters for example are

B 111010101000
C 11101011101000

In each case, the last 3 zeroes (or should it be 5 zeroes?) are the
intercharacter space. Perfectly digital, so long as you can accept that
not all characters are the same digital length.
