Have they considered renaming the "Extra" license to the "Nothing-Special"
ticket? Or just make it a "General"; that's what my 1st Class Radiotelephone is now. Seriously, what's needed is to "re-invent" a truly entry-level Novice license (give it a snappier name) that encourages young people to tryout amateur radio before the more serious regulations and theory knowledge is required for the advanced license(es) . ak "N2EY" wrote in message om...
