Today millions, if not close to a billion, or more, children accessed
the internet. They accessed data in a range too large to describe--they instant messaged and chatted with children on every continent of the globe... literally without barriers... .... the amount of knowledge entering young minds is staggering to the consciousness ... and this is progress at its' finest... radio pales in what it has done to offer such opportunities and advantages and feels it has no obligations or responsibilities to move in such productive directions--or, at least the "high priests" in control at this time do... Johnnyboy, with the way you seem to hate ham radio and those who participate, why don't you just turn in your license and go back to the 'freeband'? |

They can't do both ?????? ie computers and radio ..... ... the amount of knowledge entering young minds is staggering to the consciousness ... and this is progress at its' finest.. Maybe but a better answer would come from someone 50 years from now ... perspective you know ..... .. radio pales in what it has done to offer such opportunities and advantages and feels it has no obligations or responsibilities to move in such productive directions-- John perhaps you could fill us in on what you have done to furthur your concept of this service to younger people .. I hope you have had some young ones over the house to see your station ....or given a talk to the Scouts ....or been involved with the local club for a no-code course. or, at least the "high priests" in control at this time do... Warmest regards, John OK John you have finally convinced me ...I am going outside with the bolt cutters and take down my antenna ...I will put all 5 rigs on E-Bay tomorrow .... while I am at it all my radio tools and parts will go also ....same goes with all my radio books I have collected throughout the years as they are now obsolete .... the keys will be melted down into paperweights ..... the 3k plus that went into a new radio room will be turned into a storage area ....... all radio software will be deleted .......Now at last my mind is free to get on the internet to read spam, delete porno and listen to your mindless pontifications on this "new protocol". 73 oh wait no ...... see you on this group ...... KI3R oh wait ........ I need to get a new internet handle ....... and burn my vestments .... but wait I am not in control ..... |

Still in training to be a "master of the personal attack", huh? Puzzled why it inspires disgust rather that respect? My post is a statement of fact--no attack, it would only feel like that to someone who had some personal interests in mind... John "Cmd Buzz Corey" wrote in message ... It pains me to even acknowledge you--but I pity you and your juvenile attempts at gaining attention... even to the point of provoking negative acknowledgements... ![]() wrote in message Poor Len. He is of the opinion that he has something worthwhile to add to this group. He must be lonely. The fact of the matter is that aside from my comment to him, all others are ignoring him. Len, you at least deserve credit for trying, but your caustic barbs are going ignored. Your wordy attempts at humor are, well, just that. Attempts. And I highly dislike answering your posts Len, because by responding to you, you feel that any response, good or bad, lends credence to your inane drivel. I will do what others have done, Len. I will killfile your posts henceforth. Your babble is no longer entertaining and has indeed become rather tedious to read. You cannot say in three sentences that which you prefer to say in several paragraphs. Your posts have become boring, Len. Boring. Better luck next time, Len. |

Post a link to the posting where you gave that information, Len. Where have I claimed to be "in electronics", Len? In this newsgroup. Post a link to the posting where I worte that, Len. Tsk, tsk, Jimmie no say where he work or for whom. In case you haven't noticed, Len, I don't give out that sort of information on Usenet. Do you tell folks at the IEEE to "shut the hell up, you little USMC feldwebel"? Tsk, tsk, Jimmie, getting all mixed up in quotes. Nope. You used that phrase. Kolonel Klunk Who is "Kolonel Klunk"? was called a feldwebel. Jimmie know what means by "feldwebel?" It means "corporal" in German. Jimmie ignorant slut. Very "professional", Len. "Feld" is field in English. "Webel" is a very old military term for "underofficer" or, in English, NCO. Jimmie write in here dat "feldwebel" is a "corporal." In German, that's the word. Randy's got the right idea. |
