Radio Shock jock Don Imus will be announcing his retirement from his show

Long overdue. Next up is that idiot Stern....

Dream on...Howard will be around for at least 3 and a half more years,
and probably a lot longer.

BDK

Howard was done years ago. His stuff is boring and old now. He USED to
be good years ago....

He's still better on a good day than about anything else.

He does not seem to be pulling in the listeners at a level that would
justify the compensation in his satellite radio contract. Indeed
Sirius contionues to bleed red ink.

Default LIE: Don Imus to Announce Retirement MSNBC drops Imus

So much for the lie that was posted ...

For about 8 years his show was focused on politics and and he
attracted some interesting pols onto his show. During that time he
was crude but interesting in my opinion. He has since shifted to the
shock jock model and became just another loud nasty voice.

Default LIE: Don Imus to Announce Retirement MSNBC drops Imus

Maybe it was about eight something years ago and I don't remember if it
was imus or stern I was trying to listen to that late night, but it was
an issue with that freak on my radio about his stupid hearing aids
didn't fit right.
I just can't understand why, why, why anybody continues to listen to or
watch those two freaks and that other freak, rush Oxycontin Drughead
limbaugh.

No doubt. Tune into Imus, Stern or any of their ilk and you get the
same nasty tone, race baiting comments and depraved stories. The only
difference is Stern's voice has nasaly whine while Imus has the
gravelly sound of too many cigarettes and whiskies. The content is
largely the same.

Obviously, you haven't listened much, to Stern anyway.

BDK

I've tried to listen in and find what the attraction is. Mostly
nasaly whining about this and that non-issue and lots of sexual
innnuendo. In other words a lot of wind but not much content. But
there were appparently a lot of younger mostly single guys that found
crap like that entertaining when it was free on FM broadcast radio.
More than a few of his cheerleaders didn't think it was worth paying
for on satellite radio however.

I don't think any local Jackson,Mississippi area radio stations carry
Don Imus's radio show anymore.

That's your opinion. And a lot of his listeners did move to Sirius
radio. I would pay 13 bucks a month for Stern alone. I'm really not that
into the sex stuff, and the musical groups he has on, my favorite stuff
is when he makes a mess of his personal life, and when the people on the
show are fighting. What stories are depraved? He was married for 20
years, and split up and then not long after that, met his fiancee.
Sounds pretty normal to me..
